Taking place in one of the most beautiful Palermo historic building, meet your Sicilian cook in the morning in order to go together to buy food in a local market. Once the shopping is done, it is time to go home and start cooking together. Learn how to cook true Sicilian food with this cooking class from your personal local cook and food lovers who introduce you to the best of Palermo's local food and wines. All dishes you learn to make are based on the most renowned Sicilian recipes, with a focus on pasta, fresh fish/meat, vegetable dishes and delectable deserts, always using the freshest seasonal ingredients. The cooking classes is limited to a maximum of 15 participants to ensure you receive a unique personal experience from the Chef. Courses are held in a typical 18th century home very near the old fresh food market, Vucciria, so be prepared for a fascinating journey through Sicilian culture.

Una volta varcata la porta della splendida casa di Patrizia, ci si sente in un'altra dimensione: accoglienza, calore e savoir faire sono solo alcune delle sensazioni che si provano. Patrizia ha reso il nostro soggiorno a Palermo più che speciale, onirico. Dire che abbiamo assistito a una lezione di cucina sarebbe davvero riduttivo. Grazie a lei, le mie amiche ed io abbiamo avuto l'opportunità di conoscere le tradizioni e la cultura (non solo culinaria) di questa splendida città. Patrizia ci ha permesso di apprendere l'origine e il procedimento di alcuni dei tipici piatti siciliani in maniera divertente ma attenta e sempre mettendoci a nostro estremo agio. Proprio come se quella sua casa fosse anche un po' nostra. Le pietanze preparate e gustate insieme erano deliziose...e tranquilli, grazie ai suoi consigli e ai piccoli accorgimenti che ci ha dato (e che solo una siciliana doc può dare), facilmente replicabili una volta tornati al Nord! Un'esperienza che consigliamo fortemente, in particolar modo per l'arricchimento che questo ospite unico ha portato a ciascuna di noi, futura sposina compresa! PS: di cos'è che abbiamo più nostalgia di Palermo? Della caponata preparata insieme a Patrizia!

My husband and I, with 2 other visitors to Palermo, enjoyed a wonderful time shopping for fresh produce for our Sicilian cooking class in Donna Patrizia’s kitchen. Together with her daughter, Giuliano, she choose the food for our meal and then explained how to prepare it. The meal itself was delicious and we were given the recipes so we could prepare the dishes now that we are at home. The entire time was well organized and lots of fun. Highly recommend this experience.
