1. City centre apartment

When booking your hen party, a great location for your occasion is a city centre apartment. You’ll be in the heart of the action with bars and city tours only minutes from your doorstep; and often many apartments will be more value than a hotel; with the added benefit of all staying together. You could also look at hiring a “Butler in the Buff” or a cocktail masterclass at your own venue.

2. Spa Hotel

Treat your girls to a trip to a spa hotel, either for the day or for a wonderful overnight stay. Spend time at the pool, or sauna, book a range of treatments from massages to manicures. Great for wellbeing, as well as great fun. There’s also the option of indulging in a luxury restaurant or being good – you decide!
3. Beach resort

Going to the beach before the wedding is a great way to not only relax and spend time with close friends but also to top up your tan! Whilst there you can also look at booking a range of fun activities including surfing, sailing, paddle boarding or scuba diving.
4. Unique holiday let

In this age of social media, many people choose to book somewhere to stay that is “Instagrammable” or visually appealing. From fishermen’s cottages, Hobbit hunts, safari tents to the lighthouses – the choose is endless. Consider also what activities are in the area – perhaps archery? A nice pub? Or a kayaking school on a river? Some urban stays may also be close to a great brewery or escape room.

5. Luxury city hotel

If you are staying centrally, why not go for it and stay in luxury? Many great cities have famous and luxurious hotels to book for your hen party. Generally, they are right in the heart of the city; and will probably have a great restaurant or bar on site, and maybe a roof top bar. You’ll be able to enjoy all the wonderful city tours and perhaps go on a scavenger hunt very close to where you are staying
6. Yoga retreat

If your group are sick of working from home, the noise of their commute, and wishing for a break from the modern world than a yoga retreat could be ideal for your hen party. Healthy food and drink, relaxation, and expert yoga instructors will ensure your group leave with a sense of zen back in their lives. A great option for both yoga beginners or people looking to improve their skills.
7. Hostel

If budget is an issue, consider a hostel. If in a large group, you may also have the option of having an entire room to yourself. Hostels are often in great city centre locations, and ideal if your aim is to spend as much time “on the go” as possible and using your accommodation to just sleep. It will also help save money for luxury activities such as afternoon tea or a gin masterclass.

8. Farmhouse or country villa

Some hen parties are aiming for the peace and quiet of the countryside rather than the hustle and bustle of the city. It could be a beautiful rustic farmhouse or a classy hi-tech villa with all the latest modern facilities. This kind of location is ideal for long country walks, and a chance to spend time with your best friends, you may also be lucky and be close to a vineyard for a session of wine tasting.
9. Mountain retreat

Why not make a break for the mountains? You can enjoy the fresh of the mountains, go on long healthy walks, see wonderful scenery, and even get involved in winter sports at the right time of year including skiing and snowboarding. Many mountain ranges are now also getting the added attraction of zip lines for that WOW moment.
10. Break on the water

Whether you are considering a hen party on the ocean waves with a sailing break, or on a barge traversing the canals; there are many great activities you can book in addition. Sailing is a fantastic activity in its own right; but perhaps you can also have a lesson in scuba diving or jet skiing. Whilst on a canal break look at stops along the way for either a session of paintball, segway in the forest, or a nice country pub.
