How you can use football as an activity for your event

Football or soccer is the most popular sport in the world, but how best can you use it for your event or occasion? Here's our list of the options out there and what they are good for

1. Organize a match!

Proper 11 a side? Quick 5 a side? How about beach football? Any of these types of football is perfect for creating a competitive atmosphere and plenty of fun.

Good for: Team building, bachelor parties, kids parties

Requirements: Depending on the type of game you’ll need space, sports wear, football boots if playing on grass, and goals/nets. If playing in the park you can just use jumpers for goals! Many suppliers will be able to book a pitch for you if required.

2. Table Football

Table football, also known as foosball or table soccer, is a custom-table game based on real football where you control figures on rods representing the players who compete to score a goal.

Good for: Team bonding, and office parties.

Requirements: You’ll need a table football set, if there isn’t one in the office many companies can supply them for events, as well as many bars or pubs now have table football areas set up for you.



3. Footgolf

Footgolf combines two of the greatest sports in the World – football and golf! A sport in which players kick a football into a cup in as few shots as possible across a range of large holes.

Good for: Team building, birthdays, and bachelorette parties

4. Google football

Football but not as you’ve ever played it! Specially designed goggles will be given to every player distorting their view of the play. Fun, challenging and very entertaining!

5. Human Table Football

This is table football like you’ve never seen it. Instead of playing on a foosball table your team will be part of a life-size game yourselves.

6. Electric shock football

Electric Shock Football is a twist on the classic game and lets you be in control of the game! Why not punish a diving player? Players will be challenged to score a penalty in the back of the net when getting shocked in the process!

7. Bubble football

A unique way of playing the great game. Bounce and bump your way towards goal wearing inflatable suits as you try and beat the other team. Lots of fun, and the suits will make the game more even!

Requirements: You’ll book for a set time and balls generally provided but check about bringing your own clubs
8. Football Darts

Football darts is based on the old classic dart board game but much bigger! Players take turns in kicking balls at an inflatable and giant darts board. Two great sports combined.

Good for: Corporate events, team building, birthdays, kids parties, summer parties

Requirements: Many suppliers will deliver the giant board to your venue, as well as inflating and deflating the equipment. A host may also be on site to help the games flow.
