Sergio was an excellent tour guide with a great knowledge and love of the area. He gave us opportunities to see local honey making and tastes. I really liked the local winery Gibellina who were very attentive and enjoyed the wine. I did not feel rushed but felt I had a wonderful feel of Taormina. Thank you Sergio.

Our tour with Sergio was better than we could have hoped for! We saw so many interesting things! We had a coffee watching the smoke of Etna, walked on an old lava field and craters of Etna, heard incredible stories, and had a delicious wine tasting at the beautiful winery. Sergio was communicative, fun, and obviously loves his country. He also loaned me his coat on Etna because I’d forgotten mine. All this and we were back on the ship before the “all aboard” even though it was a short day in port! You will love this tour! It is well worth the investment if you want to have a great, relaxing, fun day in Sicily! He even talked us into coming back again for a longer stay soon! (I apologize for the retakes of the pics, but they are truly mine. Just having some internet issues!)

From the time we were picked up until the time we were dropped off Sergio had rolled out the red carpet for us. Being a local, his knowledge of the area, historic locations, and hidden gems is unmatched. The tour itself started with us seeing the lava flow at the base of Mt. Etna then we drove up the mountain to see the craters and a spectacular view of the volcano. We then went down the mountain to a local honey store where you can see how the honey is made and also purchase some to take home. The tour finished off with a wonderful wine tasting at a beautiful winery. Words cannot express how grateful we are to Sergio and how well he took care of us. If you want top notch service with a true local absolutely book this tour, you won’t regret it.

I cannot say enough about our trip with Sergio. Truly, he is the most enthusiastic and warm tour guide I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He cared so much about our experience and wanted us to make memories. He did just that, and we cannot be more appreciative of him and the experience he gave us. My husband and I LOVED this tour! Our guide Sergio (a native Sicilian) was so pleasant and knowledgeable. Because it was a private tour with just us, we could ask anything and everything we wanted to know about everything Sicily-related. We were also able to spend as much or as little time as we wanted at each place we stopped. Mt Etna was amazing (although it was really cold on top - bring a coat!), and the winery we stopped at for traditional Sicilian food and wine tasting was absolutely stunning! Sergio is a wonderful guide, and we would highly recommend this tour.

Trip was amazing! Incredible views and our guide Sergio was so friendly and easy to talk to. If you get car sick easily, I’d be a little hesitant to recommend as the tip up the mountain is quite windy, but for us it was well worth it!

Sergio picked us up at our hotel in Taoromina. As we were driving he described our itinerary. His luxury van was very comfortable. Our first stop was a festival in a small town. We then proceeded to the craters at Etna. Our last stop was a small boutique Etna vineyard. Sergio was excellent, he explained to us everything while on the excursion. I would highly recommend him. Sergio is the best! It's the best way to experience Mt. Etna and environs. Worth every cent. We were picked up at our hotel and he'd a luxurious ride to Mt. Etna. We also visited a honey farm and a vineyard, where we were treated to a wonderful lunch and tour. Later, we were brought back to our hotel.
