The Palace sits at the entrance of the harbour with commanding views over the ocean and mount versuvius . Since my last visit in 1980s it has been considerably restored. All the apartments now have descriptions in English .At the moment the Queens charming balcony garden is being completed with tinkling fountains and her outside garden is a lovely place to enjoy a coffee with the sound of Opera the Queen enjoyed. Queen Maria Carolina was sister to the tragic Marie Antoinette of France. I would certainly recommend a visit . The sumptuous state staircase ,the baroque royal theatre and extravagant throne are the highlights .

If I could I would give no stars. The tickets I bought were supposed to be emailed two days before the event, rather it was something that said it was supposed to be shown to “ticket obaining location” to redeem, and the ticket office did not accept them at all. I ended up buying new ones at the location which were about $20 less in total than this! Absolutely don’t recommend. Things were not clear and I truly don’t know if these were real tickets or not. The Royal Palace was not very busy, so I think it is likely easiest to purchase tickets there.

Palace was beautiful, must visit. Only it is better to buy tickets on the spot. Cheaper (11€) and no crowds. Don't get it why tickets cost here on the app.

Okay, just want to say that this is a review of the benefits (or otherwise) of buying the ticket from this agency via TripAdvisor. The palace was great, a gem, you should go, you'll enjoy it. The disappointment here was in the process of getting a skip the line, guided tour ticket. First of all, the ticket was supposed to be emailed to me. It wasn't. I just kept getting messages saying 'this isn't your ticket, you'll get it emailed to you later'. I found the ticket, eventually, after the event via an obscure link in my TripAdvisor mail in my account on here but not in my email. In the meantime, the entrance at the palace wouldn't accept the 'voucher' so l had to buy another ticket at the door. (The FAQ on here confusingly says they both will and won’t accept the voucher). There was supposed to be a guided tour, as well. No information was sent about that, either. So I never found a guide outside, no one was collecting a party of expectant guests at the entrance. There was no line to skip at the entrance. It's popular but not that busy. It's easiest to buy on the day at the door. There was a phone number to contact in case of difficulty but no one answered. So no tickets and no guide on the day. Not quite sure what I got by buying a ticket from these people. I did mail them afterwards and ask for a refund. I even gave them a week to respond but... nothing. I invite you to draw your own conclusions. But the palace was great. Worth a visit. Just buy on the door and hire the audio headset for six euros.

Viator claimed that I should have received tickets from the tour operator. Basically, even after telling that I haven't received any emails from them, they still insisted that I did. In other words they were insisting that I am dishonest and lying to them. As a result I am going to stop booking with Viator. I am done !!!

We had a terrible experience with Viator....hard to reach, very unhelpful and just didn't care much at all. Once we actually got in the Palace it was amazing.

This palace is easy to find as it's situated on the edge of a large public square in Naples. I combined this visit with other activities in the area (funicular train to Vomero Hill, Underground Naples, Pizza). The royal apartments are very richly decorated, there were lots of works of arts to see. One of the highlights for me were the doors, very richly carved and decorated (see pics) I especially enjoyed seeing the revolving reading desk (see pic)

the palace is amazing. Beautiful, lot of art, amazing garden. I liked that there it is a little art museum and I didn't know about it. Amazing

We had an awesome experience! It was cool to see the palace, and we basically had it all to ourselves. It was easy to use our online tickets! Definitely recommend if you’re interested in gorgeous art work, architecture, and history.

Beautiful Palace, not to be missed. It is well worth visiting this Palace. The visit runs in one direction, so it makes it easy to navigate this big building. Get some rest in the Royal Theatre.
