If nothing else, be sure you use the restroom before entering this venue. It’s highly probable you won’t have another chance until you leave the venue. The restrooms are located in front of the hall, right next to the stage. There is only one restroom for women and one for men. No one is allowed to use them, except during the intermission and the process is long and slow. Many people rushed up front, but they were all told (in a very mean manner, like we all had a problem) to return to their seats after just a few short minutes. Many guests, like myself, were very unhappy and immediately left in search of a restroom. I would never return here and I would never recommend it to anyone. A pretty expensive lesson.

Wonderful concert and museum. Unique performance with very talented musicians. The acoustics in San Vidal are incredible. Highly recommend for a nice evening in Venice. Museum has beautiful instruments as well.

During our late September visit to Venice, we attended a Vivaldi and His Time concert by Interpreti Veneziani at Chiesa di San Vidal. Awesome! The musical presentation was outstanding. The musicians, especially cellist David Amadio, were inspiring as well as enjoyable to watch. Lovely that each of the 7 musicians were highlighted across the songs played. The setting in the historic church of San Vidal was the icing on the cake! Be sure to arrive early to get a good seat and to have some time to enjoy your surroundings, including the altarpiece by Carpaccio.

We stumbled across the museum and the lovely lady on the desk enticed us into buying tickets for that night’s concert. The concert takes place in a nearby church and we heard Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. The musicianship was superb and the length of the concert, around an hour and a half, was perfect. We had such a lovely evening that we popped into the museum to thank the sales lady! The museum itself is full of musical instruments many of which date back centuries an are beautifully preserved. Very well worth a visit.

Wonderful classical music in a classic building with great acoustics. Easy to find, near restaurants to make a wonderful evening of it. A must do when in Venice!

By some magic signal, the musicians sprang to life playing with such energy and passion, it was like an other worldly experience. The church acoustics served to magnify what was already a magnificent concert. I am so glad we read Rick Steves comments about listening to Vivaldi in Venice. He said Interpreti Veneziani waas the best - they are, hands down.

How truly magical to experience Vivaldi’s music in his home city through such a talented, dynamic and engaging ensemble. I’m not a classical music expert but the performance was wonderful and a little unbridled compared to a typical symphony / orchestra performance: a little more joyous, and dare I say, a little more rock ‘n roll! Such good fun, the audience had them back for two encores!

Show started at 20h00 , doors open at 19h30. Get there at 19h15 as there are already ques. We got excellent seats near the front. Felt sorry for couples arriving late having to sit apart . Chiesa San Vidal is an excellent venue with great acoustics. The church was packed , maybe 400 or more in attendance. The group was incredible, particularly Giovanni Agazzi and Davide Amadio who play with such emotion, vigour and passion. The music flows through them. Its better than anything I have ever seen at the Royal Albert Hall . This is not just a tourist attraction, this is a world class concert, worthy of paying even 3 times the price . An absolute bargain . Be sure not to miss this incredible opportunity to witness and experience true musical talent.

I would not book this “tour”. We thought we were getting a tour and access through the music museum and a concert. The music museum was closed when we got there to meet our guide, and no one was around. We luckily had walked past the building where the concert was being held and for that reason had fortunately made the concert on our own. The concert was incredible. To sum things up we enjoyed the concert but could have bought our own tickets to the concert for €30 each instead of booking through Viator with no music museum included.

This is an absolute don’t miss if you are in Venice. In particular Giovanni Agazzi and Davide Amadio are spectacular. I am from a family with several professional musicians, including a producer and artist with Grammys, and one family member who has played at Carnegie Hall twice—so I know a thing or two about decent music. I sat there tonight and wondered how in the world this group is not world-famous. Worth every penny… and more. Even if you don’t love Baroque music, you’ll be moved.
