Ricardo was simply amazing! We have had the day out in Rome :) :) :) we saw an amazing amount through the day, and our driver Ricardo was helpful, knowledgable, as well as skilful and calm in the face of Rome traffic, negotiating crowded streets and suicidal pedestrians with ease. Simply the best, thoroughly recommended A++++ and thanks again Ricardo for such a happy memorable day

David was an awesome guide. We had a great time and saw all the main sites and were back to the ship on time. We didn't have entrance tickets to any sites but I think this is the best way to do it if you have just one day. David gave us a restaurant recommendation for lunch and we had the best fettuccine alfredo ever!

Robert_R

Great tour of Rome. We saw everything there is to see in Rome. Lucky to avoid the traffic on Jan 1 allowing tour guide to cover all important sights.

It was amazing! Our driver/guide Patrick was the best we have ever had. He was funny, sensitive to our needs and made each person feel like they were special. He took us to places that were only for “locals” and that really weren’t well know as point of interest but were so exciting I couldn’t image why more people didn’t know about. I cannot say enough about this, my husband even said “wow what a great day” and his usually comments is the as good. Going with Patrick should be a requirement

Our tour guide Matteo was on time and a good driver. Rome was a distance away from our cruise port so along the way Matteo told us about the area. He even stopped for me when I needed to use the restroom, unexpectedly. He brought us to almost all the sites on the list and since we had inside Coliseum tickets while others did not, Matteo dropped us off and let us go for 45 min and then picked us back up. With a prompt by Matteo, It was a group decision to do a sit down lunch at a restaurant, but I would probably not recommend this. I felt it was not worth the extra money and it limited our time by sitting at a restaurant. The food was mediocre and it cost another 40 Euros for pizza and a drink. In hindsight, I would have preferred to see more of Rome and perhaps just grab a quick sandwich on the go. Rome was extremely busy. We did not have enough time to go into St. Peter's Basilica which was something I wanted to do. Matteo did a good job explaining all the Roman sites and the history of them. He was a good tour guide and I would recommend him for future tours. If coming from a cruise be mindful that there is a lot of travel time to and from Rome and this cuts into your tour time. Overall I would recommend this tour to get a taste of Rome/Italy, but if you want more time at each site you need more days or focus on less sites to see.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR A QUICK INTRO TO ROME. This was a fantastic choice for a quick day trip in Rome if you haven't been before. Technically the driver is not a guide as he stays with the car, but our driver gave us lots of great insight and information. And he got us within a couple blocks or less of St. Peters Square, the Pantheon, Trivoli Fountain, the Spanish steps and the Colesseum. Plus he started with panoramas of the city from one of the highest hills. We shared the van with travelers from other cruise ships and he accommodated everyone's interests and got us all back to our ships on time. Even got us to a restaurant someone wanted to try.

This was a terrific tour due to our amazing guide, David! He showed us all the highlights of Rome and was extremely informative! And his personality was absolutely the best! Informative, kind, funny, and so charming! We have been to Rome several times so did not miss standing in line to get into the sights as just seeing them from the outside again brought back so many memories. Along with the usual places such as St Peters, the Coliseum, Spanish Steps, Pantheon etc. we loved walking around Piazza Navona while a violinist played beautiful music. We would highly recommend this tour. (And be extra glad if you get the Incredible David!)
