Questa escursione ti porta sul vulcano più alto d'Europa. Esploreremo il versante sud dell'Etna, su uno dei sentieri più incredibili che il vulcano ha da offrire. Visiteremo anche i più famosi crateri antichi inferiori (circa 2000 mt) dove cammineremo lungo il bordo del vecchio cratere. È anche possibile salire sui crateri sommitali (circa 3000 mt). Faremo un pranzo al sacco vicino al cratere. Ti riporterò al tuo hotel poco dopo pranzo.

My daughter and I had organised our trip to Siracusa and decided to book Mt Etna walking tour with Giuseppe. We are very glad we did, Giuseppe had extensive knowledge of the area, history of Mt Etna and even great restaurant recommendations near to where we stayed. His enthusiasm and passion for what he does really shone through. The hike on Mt Etna was challenging enough and the views very much worth it! Would highly recommend booking!
We had a great day out with Giuseppe and learnt a lot about the Etna and Sicily. He took us to a spot about 2100m above sea. Great tour of about 2.5 hours off the beaten tracks, with fantastic views. It's well below the summit, you don't get to the main craters on top, but you get a very good idea of the volcanic activity and we did not want to use the super-expensive cable cars and do the obvious touristic thing. Better trust this local guide! Besides, it was very windy and pretty chilly in mid-October on our height of Etna already - a difference of about 15 to 20 degrees to warm Siracusa! I can barely imagine how it would have been on top... I should also mention that Giuseppe is a good driver - we felt comfortable with him all day. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful hike with Guiseppe. He picked the two of us up at our hotel in Siracusa and drove us to the mountain. We had a great hike - off the main path. He was very knowledgeable and a total pleasure. Highly recommend for a great day.
What a fabulous day! Thank you Giuseppe for your excellent knowledge and your infectious enthusiasm for life and the area you live in. We learned a lot about the landscape, volcanos in general and especially Mount Etna. The small group meant the pace for us all was catered for well. We can highly recommend this trip.
Great day out - Giuseppe was very knowledgeable and had tons of interesting facts about the Bronze Age, plate tectonics, and flora. Accessible walk with lots of breaks. Amazing views. Highly recommend!
Giuseppe led us on a fabulous daylong tour of Mt Etna. He is cheerful, engaging and a font of knowledge about the area’s history, geology, flora and fauna, and of course vulcanology. He picked us up at our hotel in Ortigia, and on the hour and a half ride to Etna filled us in on the history of the area, where his family has led tours for decades. The hike was not difficult, and we enjoyed it tremendously.
