Your Itinerary

Florence

Meet your fellow travelers and the tour leader at the starting point in Florence (Piazzale Montelungo) and find a comfortable place on your bus. As you pass through the rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves of the Chianti region enjoy the anecdotes shared by your tour leader. With great passion and deep knowledge of the territory, your guide will make your trip entertaining and interesting!

Siena

Built upon hills, Siena is likely Italy's loveliest medieval city whose historic centre is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Follow your local guide through the winding, narrow cobbled streets and discover the magnificent architecture from the 13th Century.

Piazza del Campo

Our guided tour starts from Piazza del Campo, which is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful squares in Italy thanks to its architecture, the Mangia tower and its unique shell shape. Piazza del Campo is the civic heart of Siena, and the place where the famous Palio horse race takes place twice annually.

Torre del Mangia

(Pass by)

Dominating Piazza del Campo, the Mangia Tower is a symbol of Siena's grandeur with its striking 87 metres in height.

Duomo di Siena

(Pass by)

Our guided tour ends in front of the impressive Siena Cathedral, a stunningly beautiful building of Gothic Romanesque architecture.

Chianti Road

Afterwards, take a break for a 3-course lunch at a delightful, family-run estate. Savor the delicious Tuscan products paired with fine wines produced by the estate itself.

San Gimignano

After lunch, we move to San Gimignano, the little Manhattan of the Middle Ages. The numerous medieval towers form an unforgettable skyline and offer an impressive view of the town from the surrounding valley.

Piazza della Cisterna

Head to Piazza della Cisterna, at the heart of San Gimignano’s historic old town, and taste the world-famous and award-winning gelato from Gelateria Dondoli.

Pisa

The last stop of your memorable day trip is Pisa with its uniquely beautiful Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987.

Leaning Tower of Pisa

Before heading back to Florence, don't forget to take a funny posing photo "holding up" the Leaning Tower of Pisa! The admission fee to the Leaning Tower of Pisa is not included, it costs approximately €20 per person. Children under 8 years old are not allowed to climb the Tower.

Admission Not Included

Piazza dei Miracoli

The square is dominated by four great religious edifices: the Pisa Cathedral, the Pisa Baptistry, the Campanile, commonly known as the Leaning Tower, and the Camposanto Monumentale

Florence

We only had 1 other couple with us, so that made 6 people. Lovely size, so was very personal. Our Driver was amazing. He was so nice and could expertly navigate the roads! We had adequate time in all three towns. The winery lunch was fantastic! Must do excursion!

There were about 20 people in our tour, met with our guide Hillary who was amazing at provided extensive information as we drove to our first stop in Sienna. When in Sienna we had a local guide take us on a brief tour (not a big town with alot to see or do) The bus was very comfortable and the air conditioning was welcome as we were sweltering in the heat! We enjoyed having time on our own to explore San Gimignano The highlight was stopping at the vineyard for a tasting, appetizer and lunch. They were very accommodating in providing a vegan lunch for my daughter. The end of the day we stopped in Pisa and had free time for pictures and some time to browse the area. All in all it was excellent service and guide. Would highly recommend this tour!

The day tour was very well organised and an experience I can highly recommend. Our guide Roberto and our driver Alberto were fantastic, and always on hand.

The places we visited were soectacular but we had to park so far away from them that much of the time we had in Siena, san gimigano and Pisa were taken up walking to and from the bus. You didn’t actually have time to see very much at each town. The guides were good but the whole thing felt very rushed. It was an enjoyable day but just not long enough. We originally booked the smaller minibus tour but this was cancelled the day before and we were offered the ‘ordinary ‘ tour bus. It was full (obviously) but I had to sit upstairs away from the rest of my family who were sat separately downstairs so that wasn’t a good experience either.

This tour was a good day out and great way to see Tuscany. The guide in Sienna was knowledgable. The only negative points; we were expecting a group of up to 12 people but our group was 22 in size. The food served at the vineyard was poor quality - school dinner pasta ragú. The wine was nice but no soft drinks offered other than tap water.

So many lovely moments in this excursion. First- Excellent driver & tour leader! Great transportation & small group of 10. Our last stop, in Pisa, however was at the end of a long day. Our knowledgeable & experienced leader was able to arrange a quick tram lift to the site to save a considerable walk for us. Nathan was an amazing leader full of stories & fun! Such a great day exploring the Tuscany region & meeting some wonderful travelers as well!
