Tour guide Nicola could not have been more disinterested in leading the tour. There are many free wine tasting options in Montepulciano and you can have a fantastic lunch at most any restaurant with a full bottle of wine for much less than the cost of this tour. I don’t like giving negative reviews, but don’t waste your money on this tour.

Informative and interesting. Tried four different regional wines and had a light lunch which was decent value for money.

The tour was very enjoyable. Food was delicious! Homemade lasagna was made with fresh pasta and béchamel cheese making it light and tasty. Staff will answer any questions and pour delicious wines that can be shipped home.

What a wonderfully unique experience! The winery below street level was so amazing. Barbara, our guide was knowledgeable and fun. We enjoyed learning about wine production and tasting the differences. Lasagna lunch was excellent too.

Interesting historical cellar inside the mountain of Montepulciano. The tour was in English but there were Italians on the tour too and their personal tour guide was speaking Italian loudly (for only 3 people) and it was hard to hear the English. During the wine tasting, workers and the Italian tour guide were talking loudly in Italian near the back of the room and it was hard to hear the English. The wine pours were small. We ordered classic cannelloni but got vegetarian and it was very mediocre tasting. The GPS took us inside the walled city where we were not supposed to drive , resulting in a 100+ Euro fine, but we found the municipal police office inside the city and were able to have the fine removed. The instructions from the tour organizer should have indicated to park outside the wall.

Amazing , organized experience in the cellars in old Montepulciano where the wines for the winery are stored in massive barrels. Nice food, and they were able to accommodate 3 of my family who are gluten free. Luigi gave a great explanination of the superior wines served to us. Would recommend you give your self extra time to get parking!

The winery is in the old city of Montepulciano, with an interesting history and a lot of steps (of course). Our guide, Luigi, was friendly, knowledgeable and spoke English well. He helped make the tasting for my partner and three adult children educational and special! We tasted four wines, and enjoyed each one.
