Positano strikes deeply. It is a dreamlike place that does not seem real to you until you are there but of which you feel with nostalgia all the profound reality when you left it. So said the American writer John Steinbeck remembering the first city of the Amalfi coast, and he was right. Amalfi

Strong and independent, Amalfi is one of the four Maritime Republics and the only one that once minted its own currency, the Tarì. There is now doubt the towns we visited were all beautiful but all exactly the same selling rip off tat and over priced average food. Our guide was non stop trying to be the comedian but unfortunately became irritating as the day dragged on . Way to much time was spent on a bus but saying that there isn’t much to see anyway .. You’re better off doing this on one of the cheap buses that takes you around the coast at your leisure. This was the longest bore of a day me and my wife have had in a long time .

Lovely day! Weather wasn't great but still got to see everything. Luca, our guide, was friendly, knowledgeable, funny and interesting. Would recommend to anyone going to Naples for a few days. Would have liked a little more time in Ravello but still a great time 😊

The day trip was great, our host Luigi was excellent and kept up entertained the whole day. He gave good directions and recommendations for what to do in each place. The driver we had was Sara and she did a great job driving the narrow streets. We had such a great day, even with the weather not being great.
