Langhe, in the south of Piedmont, are the world-famous wine region where Barolo and Barbaresco are the protagonists. A fantastic wine district and one of the most well-known in Italy, that in summer 2014 was placed on UNESCO’s list of “World Heritage Sites”. The landscape is defined by a smooth succesion of hills, shaped by the expert hands of the locals and guarded by imposing medieval castles. In this wonderful land you can find serenity and pleasure that you can’t find at many places today; many people who visit this area have a great interest in food and wine and this is exactly what the area is famous for. Langhe are now considered a Gourmet Mecca; here you will meet people in search of genuine flavours and come here to drink good wine, enjoy fantastic food and taste the finest White truffles.

My spouse and I spent a great day with Matteo doing tastings at several wineries this past December. Matteo speaks great English, drives a nice clean car, is friendly, and also very knowledgeable about the region and food. We were able to go to wineries that we wouldn't have been able to just show up to, and we had great private tastings at each one. He also answered several of my questions in advance of the trip about the area and possible accommodations which was greatly appreciated. Matteo managed to get us a lunch reservation at a very difficult to get into restaurant that was fantastic. It didn't hurt that it was white truffle season! We collected 12 bottles of wine during the day, and Matteo brought us to the wine shipper for shipment back to the US (wine arrived about weeks later). If you're at all on the fence about doing a tour with Matteo, my recommendation is just do it, you'll have a very memorable day!

Matteo was an absolutely incredible wine guide. His knowledge of Piedmont and all of the vineyards & wineries was beyond impressive. He gave us 3 different/distinct experiences (added one on the spot, after getting to know us a bit) and we felt as if the day was truly tailor-made for us, based on what our interests were. He had great relationships everywhere we went so we felt like true VIP’s. He also picked a spectacular lunch spot for us - another gem we would not have found on our own. A “10 out of 10” day for which we are extremely grateful!

Matteo is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide leading us to a very enjoyable wine tour. The two wineries in Barolo are displaying different concepts in producing their Barolo, Nebbiolo and Babera d'Alba wines showing different characters. The restaurant he chose for us was absolutely fine and of good quality. With the Babaresco tour as an ending, we considered the tour as perfect and unforgettable.

Our guide Matteo was phenomenal. We let him choose the wineries and lunch and it was an excellent experience. Our group of 6 took the train from Turin to Alba where we met Matteo. Very easy. The hosts at the wineries were informative, charming, welcoming. We enjoyed incredible scenery, great wine & food. A full day experience and good value. Highly recommend!!

Our guide Nicola picked us up at our hotel in Asti in a new model spacious car. Our day consisted of a morning tour and tasting at "Ca' del Baio" winery in Barbaresco followed by a lunch at a wonderful restaurant Nicola selected and then a tour/tasting at "Ettore Germano" winery in Serralungu d'Alba. Nicola was very knowledgeable of Piemonte wine and food. The tours and tastings were very informative, and the views of the Langhe countryside were breathtaking. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time on this tour.

A memorable day with Matteo. Met all our excpectations and he made a pretty tailormade trip. Matteo is very professional within food and winebusiness, and on facts about the Piedmont area. Safe driver (!) Would surely book him again next time we go to Piedmont and fully recommend his service. Very good value for the money spent.

we had a great day with Matteo, visiting 3 distictive vineyards, great tasting experience at all 3 with the local hosts being knowledgable, professional and enthusiastic. Matteo is also a great host who rose to the challenge of finding us vineyards with a good selection of white as well as red wines. His choice of lunch venue was also great. Definitely the way to do a wine tour.

We had a wonderful tour of Barolo and Barbaresco with our guide Matteo. We went to three wineries, one small producer, one medium and one large , each one giving us a different experience. Matteo also chose a wonderful place for lunch. All in all a great day touring one the best wine areas around
