The location of this church made it the basilica for the majority of travellers entering the city. Not far from Piazza Navona, this is the national church of France in Rome. The French character is visible from the exterior itself, which has several statues recalling national history. The interior also has frescoes by Charles-Joseph Natoire recounting stories of Saint Louis IX, Saint Denis and Clovis. We will also discover here famous paintings by Caravaggio and "Histories of Saint Cecilia" by Domenichino.
