If I could write this tour as 10 stars, I would. I have three adult children who have never been to Florence and we're desperate to learn as much as possible. We had only one day. There is one thing you can say about Through Eternity: their guides are phenomenal. We were pretty jet lagged and Angelo made our day extra special. We were too tired to eat an early breakfast and would you believe we asked him if he would mind if we ate breakfast before we started the tour?! No pressure Angelo! He joined us for breakfast. He really brought Florence to life for us and answered every single question which if you knew our group, way too many questions. Sadly, we had to move on to another town but we would have loved to have taken another tour with Angelo. We hope to see you again Angelo and we wish you the best!

We had only one day to spend in Florence, and this tour was a great way to do it! Our tour guide, Brenda, has a tremendous passion and devotion to the arts, surpassed only by her charming personality. She gave us a tour of the Uffizi, and surrounding area while highlighting and explaining what makes certain artists and their great works of art stand out in history. You can’t help but be swept up in the love Brenda has of her home and the amazing artwork she is surrounded by every day. We viewed Michelangelo, Giotto, DaVinci, Botticelli, and Raphael, among many others. It was wonderful to have Brenda by our sides as the paintings I had seen countless times in art history books were suddenly there in front of us, demanding our full attention...and getting it! Aside from art museums, Brenda treated us to an interesting tour of the "outdoor museum" of Florence itself, pointing out archeological styles and features along the walk from the Uffizi to the Accademia Gallery. Her explanations helped us understand the intense rivalry between the Medici and Strozzi families, and the way Florentines hang on to their traditions and their practicality, as demonstrated in the case one building, having once been a granary, which later wound up being a church! Brenda saved the masterpiece of masterpieces for last: Michelangelo's "David." She says she sees this work nearly every day and discovers something new about it every time. Take this tour with Brenda! She will tell you herself: she was born to do this job.
