Chiesa di Sant'Ambrogio

We will start off in the very local neighborhood of Sant' Ambrogio. Here we will visit a few different small shops to taste local favorites. Our tastings along the tour include everything from cantucci, coccoli, pizette, meats, cheeses, olive oil, truffle, and much more!

Duomo

After a few tastings in the Sant' Ambrogio area, we will then take a nice stroll through the city center twisting and turning on the local streets to enter into another local neighborhood.

Ponte Vecchio

Enjoy a view of Ponte Vecchio as we continue on with our tasting tour!

She instantly made us feel comfortable, and we enjoyed three full hours getting to know her. We felt like great friends by the time we parted ways! The food choices were exceptional and filling, the sites warm and quaint, and the company was exquisite. My daughter and I spent a delightful afternoon with Christy, and it couldn’t have been better! Not only is Christy passionate about the food culture of her city, she is a fantastic communicator and was so easy to connect with. She was gracious and easy to talk with, and the places she took us were out of this world! My favorite parts were learning about and sampling coccoli in the local market, and the amazing panini at I Fratellini which might have been the best sandwich I’ve ever put in my mouth. She clearly loves food and where she lives and brought us to the places she usually goes, showed us other places to go and wrote us a list of everything we had, where we should go if we were looking for specific foods and drinks. I was very fortunate to have Tatiana all to myself. She took me to many places for a variety of foods and a very good wine pairing. She was very engaging and honestly it felt like we were too old friends walking around Florence talking about our lives and stopping here and there for something to eat. They truly exceptional experience, especially as a solo traveler.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed this food walking tour. For us the highlights were visiting the Sant Ambrogio market and the wine bar. The market was less crowded and ''touristy'' than the central market, which we greatly appreciated. The wine bar and it's underground cellar were a great sight and the wines sampled were great. In addition to this, there were coffees, biscuits, sweets and a sandwich. Christy was friendly, knowledgeable and we would certainly recommend this tour to others.

It was an absolute pleasure spending the afternoon with Christy, walking around Florence, eating amazing local food and supporting small businesses. The samples were the perfect size at each of the places we stopped, with a nice blend of sweet and savory eats. I wish we could have a food tour with Christy in every European city!!
