The history of la scala was fascinating, as given by a knowledgeable guide. Elevators made it easy to navigate for difficult walkers. Guide did an Excellent, job given the amount of groups that were there. Hearing was clear. Nothing but the best of tours.

The tour didn't take place because of theater rehearsals. They offered a rescheduling plan- which it wasnt convenient as i had to catch my flight - but no money refunding. Viator customer care didn't help at all as I was said that it wasn't their responsibility. Awful experience.

Seeing the theatre itself and hearing the stories of it in past times. Our guide seemed very knowledgeable, and we could feel his love for the theatre also. Love that Italians we meet especially guides are so passionate about their Italian heritage.

Kind folks and worth the money. At times felt long and a little dry but was able to see a rehearsal taking place!! Even though I didn’t get pictures inside because of it, very cool.

Going to Milan in the Summer had one negative to it, there was nothing on at the theatre to go and take in the wonderful building as it should be seen. Saying that we booked this tour so we could at least have a look around and see the building. With it being out of season there was a lot of cleaning of chandeliers going on which was interesting in its own right. Our tour guide Renata took us through the history of the building including its construction and the important dates and shows throughout its time. The foyer has many statues and an interactive screen about the buildings construction. The whole tour took around an hour and at a cost of approximately £35.00each was a little on the expensive side but worth it as the only way we were able to see the theatre.

Very disappointing tour. We were informed last minute that due to an ongoing performance we couldn’t visit the theatre with the guide which , besides being the interesting part of the tour, was included in the ticket price. We were only offered the option to come back and get a glimpse of the theatre by ourselves once the ongoing show was over. As a Milanese myself I apologise to the other tourists for such an unacceptable behaviour from the operator. If you wanna visit the theatre I suggest you booking online on the theatre website.

Although the tour guide was knowledgeable and gave a good tour/information of the Scala Museum, we feel the museum part was longer than necessary, especially we had to take the time to remove our headsets and give back one by one to the tour guide before we went into the actual theater-it was only the boxes looking down and only had literally a short couple of minutes to look out of the box peering down- if you even got the chance as we had to share the room/box with other tourists who didn’t move at all to let others have a view. No real fault of them as we were led to think we each would have a box view- not the case. It was kind of misleading as you think you will actually walk in the theater, but you don’t. Very disappointed in this tour.

The name of the tour is “La Scala Theatre and Museum Tour in Milan” but just saw the Museum and the guide, a very knowledgeable person, just told the people in the tour, AT THE END OF THE VISIT, would not be possible to see the theatre because of an event. I mean. No information, no communication made a terrible experience for everyone. Everybody was expecting to see the Theatre. The museum is nice, ok. But if you can’t see the main attraction. Should at least refund us half of the money spent.

Staff lady guide was amazing, he explained clearly every details and all about the great history of this building. Maria Callas exposition was a plus.
