Named UNESCO heritage in 2002, it is a must for anyone visiting the south east of Sicily and for all fans of the television series Il Commissario Montalbano. Ragusa ibla has become in recent years one of the most important tourist attractions in Sicily. In 2002 the city was included among the UNESCO Baroque sites of the Val di Noto.
