Our tour guide (Celia) was well intentioned but not very knowledgeable. She had memorized her script but couldn’t answer questions accurately. Since this was a tour of the Jewish ghetto, she should have been more informed and sensitive to the issues of Jews in Rome

I went on the Jewish ghetto tour with Celia. She was very good and had lots of good information about the neighborhood and history of the area. Would very much recommend going on this tour for a different view of Rome and an interesting part of history.

Michael was a great and engaging tour guide and the tour of the Jewish Ghetto in Rome was fascinating and worth the time. Even though most of the buildings have been replaced, Michael brought props to show how it was and we were able to see some of the key structures that remained. The story was fascinating and the brass bricks, highlighting those lost to the holocaust was particularly impactful.

Tour Trastevere Jewish Ghetto. Our guide, Sane, knew a lot about the history of the Jewish community in Rome. He was clearly audible and spoke good English. The number of stops and the amount of information was manageable. It was a nice walk from Rome center to Trastevere. Sane also has good recommendations for nice places in Trastevere.

Carolina was a very knowledgeable guide. As first time visitors we learned a lot of the history of Rome especially the importance of the Jews in Italy through the ages.

It is the second time that I took this tour with Michael. Every time I learn something new. Michael is very knowledgable and entertaing, he's got great tips and suggestations of local secret places to eat. Another aspect of this tour is the fact that he speaks very clearly in an American accent, unlike other tour guides who just recite a text fast and in an Italian or British accent (no offence :). He has the right balance between historical facts and interesting information.

This tour is a must do on your Rome trip if you love history. Our tour guide Michael was a wealth of information taking us through the sorted history of the ancient Jewish community in Rome ,through beautiful streets & ruins & the stories behind easily overlooked landmarks leading to the trendy Trastevere area . Definitely recommended!
