Your Itinerary

Florence

Pickup from our meeting point: Borgo Ognissanti 70, Florence, Italy. We will meet you in front of Café Bianco.

La Spezia

Your direct drive from Florence stops in La Spezia. From here, you will take the train to the first fishing village, ride that takes only 7 minutes and gives you more time to enjoy Cinque Terre.

Riomaggiore

First village to be visited. Riomaggiore climbs up along the ridges overlooking the sea and it is characterized by typical stone houses with colourful facades and slate-roofs.

Manarola

Second village to be visited. Manarola is one of the most charming and romantic of the Cinque Terre villages. The village is all ups and downs, with steep narrow alleys leading to the sea. From here, you will take a boat ride to the next village Vernazza.

Admission Included

Vernazza

Third village to be visited. Vernazza is unique in Cinque Terre because of the small port that was built allowing ships to land in the protected bay. Here you can visit the Church of Santa Margherita d’Antiochia built in 1318 or seat down in front of the Ligurian Sea tasting one of the best gelato in Italy. A typical Mediterranean lunch will be served on the coast of this village.

Monterosso al Mare

Fourth and last village to be visited. Monterosso al Mare is the largest out of the five coastal villages. The village is located on hills cultivated with lemons, vines and olives.

La Spezia

Back to La Spezia. Enjoy the ride back to Florence by private transportation.

Florence

Drop-off at our meeting point.

Nicole was amazing during this trip. Would highly recommend tour. Figuring out trains and times would have been a nightmare. So thankful for Nicole.

My wife and I took this excursion as part of our Florence visit. It was a pleasure in all respects. Our group leader, Johnnie, was friendly, informative, and did a tremendous job of coordinating our tour, we would ask for him again for future tours. Cinque Terre is very hilly, be forewarned, a lot of walking involved. We are in our 70's, Johnnie was more than accommodating in letting us walk at our own pace. Due to weather, we were not able to take the boat trip, but the four towns we were able to see more than made up for it. The train was a pleasure moving from town to town. Lunch was perfectly arranged and delicious. The small group format was absolutely worth the price, highly recommended.

This is the way to tour! We had an amazing guide - Angel (but of course he was an angel) He was so informative and shared tons of information as we drove from our hotel and to the train for our adventure. We saw 3 of the 5 towns and had lunch. The entire experience left us very delighted and educated. We were well cared for and highly recommend Angel and his company for your own experience.

Angel gave us a day we will never forget! He customized our trip to Cinque Terre to include everything we wanted and more - time in each town, a hike through the national park, incredible wine, seafood, and pasta. He navigated the train and boat schedules, restaurant reservations, and travel to and from Florence with ease! Angel was so kind, knowledge, and he made it so easy for us to enjoy this special part of Italy!

One of the very best things we did in Italy! This tour was amazing. We happened to be the only couple who signed up for the tour this day, so ended up with a private tour. Our guide, Fred, made the whole thing so incredible. He was interesting, funny, a blast to hang out with and had such great insights! And he brilliant timed navigating the four villages we visited in an unconventional order to avoid the crowds and tour buses—it was genius! I fully expected mobs of tourists everywhere (especially later in the day), but they never materialized thanks to his knowledge of when to be where to give us the best experience possible. Not to mention his killer walking tours of all the villages to get us the best views while teaching us about the history, culture, geology, flora and more. And don’t let the cost deter you. It is absolutely worth it. We did a lot of curated tours and guided day trips from Florence on our visit — this one was on the more expensive side but we totally felt like we got our money’s worth and then some. It’s a full day but it never feels either rushed or dull (even the 2-hour drives to and from La Spezia were fun thanks to Fred’s engaging conversation and knowledge). And the whole tour was really just chocked full of so much more substance and way better experiences than you’d get trying to make the trek yourself or with a larger group tour. Though we were the only people on our tour by chance, it was obvious that Fred’s skills as a guide would ensure it would still be fantastic if a few more couples had joined—he is so, so much more than just a driver and was absolutely the best guide we had in Italy.

Johnny was a fantastic guide!! He guided you on some hiking paths or let you explore on your own. The lunch provided was at a delicious restaurant in Vernazza. Not skimpy! Seeing 4 out of the 5 Cinque Terre towns was an absolute delight.

We hit all five villages of Cinque Terre in 1 day. We couldn't have done it without our awesome guide & sommelier Fabio. He was full of facts, funny & just fun to be with. We felt very comfortable with him & coincidently he had briefly lived not far from our home in Jersey. Fabio's knowledge of & connections in each village made everything go so smoothly. He knew everybody! Fabio brilliantly kept us ahead of the larger group tours & crowds by utilizing trains, the ferry and visiting the villages out of order. By number we did them 3-4-2-5-1, taking the ferry all the way from Monterosso(5) to Reomaggore(1) to finish. We sipped espresso, shopped, snapped photos, swirled wine & had a delicious lunch. Cinque Terre is uniquely beautiful & can certainly sell itself. A great guide like Fabio can help you enjoy it to the fullest. He took care of all the logistics leaving us with nothing left to do, but smile, smile smile.

The beauty of these sea side villages are some of the best landscapes in Italy! Our guide Angel was very informative, fun and in sync with the pace of the visit. Absolutely breathtaking! Be prepared for A LOT of steps, steep inclines, and walking. Highly recommend visiting this slice of heaven!

This actually turned out to be a private tour with tour leader, Fabio, who was excellent! His knowledge of the area added tremendously to a positive experience and his flexibility to our needs was greatly appreciated. His English was perfect which made communication easy and our day very educational. We highly recommend any tour with Fabio!
