This is a must see tour of Lake Como and the surrounding area. Even though the entire tour was almost 12 hours long, it went by very quickly. Our tour guide, Luca, was outstanding. He was very, very friendly and knowledgeable. He was born in this area and the restaurant in a small city that we would have never found on our own, was probably the best meal while we were in Italy.
Luca truly made this experience incredible. This tour was the highlight of our whole trip. Luca is personable, kind, friendly and cares greatly about his guests. As a local from the area, Luca can show you the hidden gems of Lake Como giving you a real taste of Italy! He went above and beyond to find us a local spot for lunch and a small family owned vineyard for a tasting. He even brought us to his local gelato shop! By the end of our day with Luca, he felt more like a friend than a tour guide. We are so grateful for our time with Luca, and would recommend this tour 100%.

WOW WOW WOW. What a fantastic day. Our small tour group ended up being just my husband and myself, tour guide, Silvia and driver, Walter. No bus for us...a Mercedes SUV instead. Silvia was very knowledgeable, friendly and listened to us. loved Lake Como and Vareena. We had distant relatives in Ponte in Valtellina..so Siliva and Walter stopped there and we had a talk with the locals. Very emotional. Lunch was at a little restaurant in the middle of nowhere. It was fantastic. The manager Andrea was amazing as well. Could not have asked for a better day. great people. Can not thank Silvia and Walter enough...
We met our guide, Mara, at the train station for the 45 minute ride toward Lake Como. The group split up on arrival and we joined one other couple for our tour with Mara and driver Ivan. The Lake was beautiful but the other stops were equally impressive. Our stop at a grocery that had been in existence for several generations was mesmerizing and we tasted several types of cheese there. Lunch at an agrotourismo where almost everything is sourced on the farm was delicious and somewhat interesting as I don’t ever recall donkey being on a menu. Then it was off to taste a little wine before heading back to the train for our return to Milan.
This tour was the authentic Italian Tour! We saw amazing landscapes and experienced things that we would never had seen if we were on our own. Our lunch was ‘out of this world’, our group bonded well and our Tour Guide, Cinzia and driver, Evan’s local knowledge and friendliness made for an unforgettable experience. Would highly recommend!
