I suppose my opinion is a little skewed because I'm a glass artist but, this event wasn't worth it. The demonstration was very short and awful. The glass artist made a horse, and it was bad. I could tell he knew that he messed up halfway through and couldn't start over because it would look unprofessional to the audience. Tour of the factory - there wasn't one. We saw a gallery of random work. Some pieces were stunning others were terrible. I never received that free glass piece that was supposed to be a part of the event. I did end up buying something from the gallery. So at least, I got something positive to remember the trip.

It was a NICE experience!! It was really cool both their store and how they make glass (at the top of that it was live so it was super COOL and you will be also amazed by the tour guide’s explanation) Also the people in the work shop are really nice… so yeah I would recommend this place if you want a full experience of Murano!! 🥰✨

The demonstration was amazing, but so short it seemed a gimmick to get people into their magnificent shop. Not sure it justified the trip.

Great glass blowing demo by a master craftsman. In 15 minutes he transformed a lump of glass into a beautiful vase and an exquisite horse. The gift shop is awesome that ranges from affordable tourist trinkets to astonishing creations for the super affluent. Service is professional, educational and unobtrusive unless you show interest in a particular item. Don’t be shy about negotiating a better deal than their “discounted” price.

Was great to see the skill behind how Murano glass is produced and the history behind it. Owners of the factory were very friendly. Definitely worthwhile experience if not seen before.

The day we were due to go to Murano, the ACTV taxi boats were not running due to fog, so we didn't end up going

The most memorable moment for me was the demonstration of the skilled glassblower manipulating globs of hot molten liquid, which transformed it into solid creative masterpieces.

My wife and I went on this tour today. Earlier today we did a wine and food tour which was great. Talked to our tour guide about wanted to buy some art but wanted it to be from a local artist. She recommended Murano. That it’s the best place to buy some local blown glass pieces. Saw this tour, and it would be a great way to spend our afternoon. Upon entering we were told that our ticket price would be good as a credit for a purchase after the demonstration and tour. No tour, and the demonstration was 10 minutes long. No talking just a guy blowing 2 glass pieces. He made a vase and a glass horse. Impressive but not worth $10. He had a tip jar and we left a tip because it still was an art we got to enjoy and I’m sure he wasn’t get paid our entry fee. We went through their store and wanted to buy something; not to use our credit but we always try to buy an art piece from a local artist on all of our trips After looking at all their pieces we decided to buy a glass bowl. Not because we needed or wanted the bowl but it was something we could afford and again wanted to buy something from them I asked the lady to make sure that it was indeed something they made in house. She said “yes, most everything we sell here is made here”. I followed up with “is this an item made here?” She said “yes!” It had their stamp on the bottom, and with her validation We bought it for $50 If it wasn’t a piece made there we would have just bought something that was. Returned to main land Venice. First store we walk in to; there it was for $15. It’s fine to sell China made junk in tourist shops. We will never buy it. Selling that stuff as your own to those who are searching for, wanting to support local artist is just shady. Don’t go to this place. There are other glass factories that will sell you their artists work Our tour guide had told us to go to Murano if we wanted to buy from the actual artist. She obviously didn’t know about this scam of a place.

It is NOT one and a half hour of tour. We sat 20 minutes with a demonstration of a man blowing a vase and making a horse. That was it. Then we were led to some super luxury part of the store where they wanted us to use store credit. No guided tour. No history lesson. It was over within 30 minutes. Avoid this trap.

As others have stated, the tour is short. Ours lasted about 5 minutes. The rest of the time you're trying to duck the salesman assigned to you. Basically, you're paying this tour operator for the glass factory to sell their cheap glassware to you. Our salesman wouldn't leave us alone and chased us outside with lower and lower offers every other sentence. Skip this tour and you'll have a much lovelier time in Venice.
