We made new friends and shared great food and wine together! The meats served at Norcinetia Viola were the best I’ve had in Rome!

Our tour guide, Fiametta, took us to many very tasty spots. The food was delicious and the wine servings were fairly generous. We also saw a DOG!

I have been to Rome many times but it was so nice to do a tour in the Trastevere Neighborhood and mix food, wine and learning the culture in the non-traditional tour atmosphere!

This tour is a must do if you are in Rome. We booked it our first night so we could also get our bearings. We loved it. The food was amazing as was the wine. More than we expected. It was more like dinner and drinks than tastings. We did not leave hungry. Our tour guide was fun.

The walking food and wine tour was one of our favorite activities we did while in Rome. Of course seeing all the famous tourist sites is great, but this was a nice break from the craziness of everything. Catia was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Since she is local, she gave a lot of extra recommendations that others wouldn’t. The groups are smaller (ours had 13 total) so you get to know each other over several glasses of wine and food. The best part for my partner and me is that since it is a wine tour, there were no kids screaming and crying the whole tour. We had never done a walking food and wine tour, but have already looked into doing one when we move on to Madrid.

The first restaurant was great, with samples of cold cuts and cheeses along with wines ~ perfect antipasti! The second restaurant offered fried cod (overly salty) and fried zucchini, which honestly, to me, was pretty drab and did not zing “Italy” and to me was pretty drab. The ziti that followed and the wine were great, as was the gelato at Gunther’s. The guide was pleasant and informative, but soft spoken and difficult to hear. Maybe give her a microphone? We retraced our steps a lot. Louise B

Highly recommend this tour! Our guide Fiammetta was very knowledgeable not only about Roman cuisine but history as well. The food was outstanding. It was a perfect tour to end our visit to Rome.

Our guide Catia was very good, knowledgable, enthusiastic and easy to understand. The wine selection and quantities were perfect, as was the cheese and salami tastings. After that the rest of the food was disappointing and really let the tour down. No pizza as was promised in the description, far too much fried and greasy food, and the pasta was not enjoyable at all, salty and stodgy.
