The preserved site features excavated ruins of streets and houses that visitors can freely explore.

Great tour of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. We had a great host for the day (Eugene) who was very informative of all aspects of the tour, Max our archeological tour guide gave us a great insight of Pompeii and made sure it was full of information but not so serious with a humorous side. Joseppy our coach driver got us to our destination superbly. Overall a great day out.

Myself and my husband had a really enjoyable day on our trips to Pompeii and Vesuvius. Roberto a really lovely friendly and quite hilarious guide. Our guide for Pompeii was excellent and extremely knowledgeable and the 2 hours there were very enjoyable. Delighted to climb to Vesuvius and if you have any level of fitness it's totally do able and only takes a short while on a path to the top. Thought the climb would be much worse than it was! Stunning views at the top. Back in Sorrento by 3.30pm.

We had a great tour with Lulu! She's very fun and funny. It was a great time of year to do this because it wasn't too hot yet. We also got to Pompeii before the crowds which made for great photos. The hike up to Mt. Vesuvius was also super cool. I didn't realize you could hike all the way up and see inside the crater. The views are also incredible from up there. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Arriving early and entering through the main gates was perfect. It was memorable and fantastic and this was mostly down the incredible tour guide, Max. He was fun and so knowledgable and totally exceeded our expectations. Thank you Max!

Our lovely guide met us I'm the central square to take us the short walk to our air conditioned bus. An intelligent commentary along the coast road from Sorrento to Pompeii made the journey pass quickly with superb views over the bay of naples. Once at Pompeii we met Gabriella... our brilliant, funny, SO WELL INFORMED guide of the day. The early arrival meant that Pompeii was virtually deserted as we walked the streets... obstacle free for photos. Gabriella's tour was brilliant... not a dull moment. Inside track on knowledge, lots of laughs... just a superb tour guide. We've seen Herculaneum and Pompeii... both amazing of course, but Pompeii wins it... just more in every respect... and Gabriella was just brilliant. An hours break (do yourself a favour and bring a picnic from Sorrento) and we were back on the bus heading up to Vesuvius. The narrow winding road goes up, and up, and up.... etc. Our driver was unphased by the many close calls with buses scooters, cars coming the other way. Once at the top, we had 2 1/2 hours to DO Vesuvius. OK folks, I'm not going to lie. It IS a climb. You will really feel it by the time you get to the crest of the crater. If you have weak knees, I might suggest sitting it out. HOWEVER.... Once you get to the top, the views INTO the crater are stunning... amazing layered rock formations, and of course you are standing on the edge of a LIVE VOLCANO..... surely bucket list territory? The views over the bay of Naples and beyond are also stunning. The good news is that the walk down is MUCH easier, giving you the chance to offer self satisfied solace in the form of "you're nearly there " to those you pass on the way down (their going up). Back to the bus at 2.30 had us safely in Sorrento for 4. A superb day. Very much worth the cost of the coach and the guide. Gabriella truly deserves all praise as being simply brilliant. Btw....our bus guide Marika was also lovely, perfect, faultless.

Very well organised tour. Andrea was our tour guide and he was fantastic, knowledgable and very clear on timings and what to expect when we arrived at Pompeii and Vesuvius. Guiseppe was our driver and he did a great job of keeping us safe with his expert driving on very challenging roads. I highly recommend this tour. Great value for money.

An excellent well organised trip from start to finish. Our guide was very informative on the journey to and from Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius providing us with information when passing through the different towns/villages. The tour guide at Pompeii was excellent and provided us with lot of information. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

Eugene, our coach guide was great, he looked after us very well. Our Pompeii guide was also fantastic (Vincenzo) and was extremely knowledgeable and informative. The only downside to the trip was only having 1 1/2 hours to walk up Vesuvius. We did it with minutes to spare, it was a shame there wasn't enough time to stand at the top and truly take in the views. We weren't the fastest but definitely weren't the slowest. Some people just didn't have enough time/energy to get to the top. Overall a great trip and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
