Tour of Palatine Hill and Roman forum was excellent. Our guide Francesca was very knowledgeable. She made the experience with our small group extremely enjoyable. Definitely worth the time.

Purchased the " small group tour of Roman forum, Palatine Hill and Circus Maximus specifically because my husband races horses and made circus maximus his top sights to see. The small group tour combined people with differently named tours together. Our guide walked us through Roman forum and up to a lookout point at which time we realized that we're not only not going to circus maximus but could not see it, as the lookout point was on the wrong side. Our guide said he never does circus maximus and suggested we walk back with him to speak to the tour operator. The other people in our group had to do the same as their tour was supposed to have circus maximus. We were on top of palatine hill for less than 5 minutes before the guide walked us back, which was a huge disappointment as there is so much to see there. Back at the kiosk we were told that there is " nothing to see at circus maximus" and that we could have seen it from top of palatine hill. Both of those are incorrect as our guide did not have time to walk us to a place on the hill to see circus maximus. We ended waking over to circus maximus and did a wonderful tour with vr goggles and guide. Would highly recommend. Later that day we also did a separate tour of palatine Hill and were amazed how much was there to see . Don't let your guide only take you to the one lookout, there is so much more there. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the original tour, as it was very pricy and we got so little experience for it.

Excellent tour guide which was humourous and had lots of interesting bits of information. We got a lot out of the tour. Highly recommended.

Our tour was wonderful. Daniele V was a great guide, born and raised in Rome. The area was crowded but he got us around most of the people (“Roman Traffic”). We have been to Rome several times but we learned many new things. The small group tour was a great idea. Unfortunately the cit government has placed more restrictions on the underground part of the Colosseum so we were not able to view those parts. Daniele’s love of guiding shows and I would highly recommend him.

Enjoyed the tour with Rosy, an excellent guide. Booking it was simple and the information that came with the ticket was very useful. Also appreciated being able to upload it into my wallet. One day earlier we were informed that the start of the tour was moved from 11:30 to 11:00, which suited us fine.

Tom was sensational, incredible. His energy, passion, knowledge, accuracy of dates/times/people/locations was astounding. I was fact checking some of his comments and whoa - 10 for 10 - he doesn’t skip a beat. He didn’t let down for even 5 minutes - each moment was jam packed with history and nuance and true reliving of the Roman Life, Politics, Culture, Drama, Facts. I will honestly say that our first guide ( a female archeologist with Tourik) of Italian decent was like a hungover dead fish - she wild rather be anywhere in the world other than with us lousy tourist showing us one of the worlds most prominent landmarks the Colosseum. Our second guide for Palatine Hill was Tom - he is an English Man. A brilliant historian. A humanist. A man who cares deeply about our experience and gave us beyond his best. TOM IS A WONDER OF ITALY.
