You only find exceptional outcomes when in difficult circumstances - and we had it all: it rained like it never did in Rome and we were in family with kids … but still Vincenzo managed to get us through all the really relevant information and without the kids getting rebellious - we repeated obviously for the Colosseo and Imperial Forum and this time with better weather - the visit and the explanations were as if we lived that time along Vincenzo - thank you truly for your energy and dedication

We did four tours: Borghese Gallery, Vatican Museum/St. Peter’s/Sistine Chapel, Imperial Rome, City Center. We saw essentially every major landmark of the city during those four tours. Martina was extremely knowledgeable about art and history. She is easy going and worked directly with us and our interest to tailor our tours so we maximized our exposure to the history and art of Rome. Martina’s delightful personality lends itself to a positive and enjoyable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. We had very basic knowledge of the history and who the important figures of Rome were. Our knowledge was dramatically increased in a few days with Martina. It is overwhelming to understand what happened here - sometimes in the very place you are standing - but Martina explained it all with great insight. We have never used a guide before. Our experience was 1000 times better than if we had tried to do this trip on our own or with a group. We cannot recommend Rome Guides more highly!

It felt like being in a Netflix documentary. The energy, the knowledge, the interaction created a magic night. Giovanni is funny, witty incredibly passionate about every detail from the architecture, toponomastic, stories of the people the fun facts, the loves and the betrayal, the fights the murderers, the food, traditions, everything in a continuous flow that takes you in a different world. Absolutely top notch. We did 5 different tours with Rome Guides, 4 with Vincenzo and 1 with Martina. In the vacation we had spent 19 total days, with several other tour guides when we were on a cruise, and there was no doubt who had the top honors, the experiences in Rome with Vincenzo were fantastic. Specificaly his ability to take overwhelming museums and ruins and turn it into a fun, interactive story, ensures that you can take away something from the experience. We saw countless statues, paintings and ruins on our vaction, and in just days most of them have fuzzed into the background, but the whole family will always remember the stories and peope that Vincenzo spoke abount, from Bernini and Boromini, to Michelangelo and Raffaelo.

We are repeat visitors to Rome and repeat tourists escorted by Vincenzo and Rome Guides. Our experience five years ago was fabulous. Although expectations for this visit were high, it did not disappoint. We booked two full-day tours...... I wish we had done three. Way worth the money. To state that it was marvelous is an understatement. Vincenzo's knowledge is vast. His love of Rome is obvious and felt. His speaking and teaching skills are notable. He shaped and focused the tours specifically on what we wanted to see. We saw a side of Rome that few have experienced. I have taken walking tours all over the world, many memorable. The time this week with Vincenzo was truly some of the best travel experiences I have had.

We booked a full day tour with Vincenzo and Martina for city center, forum Romanum and Colosseum. It was outstanding! So much knowledge and the enthusiasm for Roman history! Thank you for this wonderful experience! We will book you again next time we are back in Rome

Wow - a wonderful case where the all-star TA reviews are superbly matched by a full-package stellar experience! You can’t go wrong! We highly value seeing great places with expert eyes and help and have had guides in many places - it is simply a smart investment into your and your family’s gaining memorable moments in magic places. Martina and Vincenzo were amazing to deal with from start to finish, incl online exchanges to confirm the booking, discuss the priorities for our group (challenge: get to see as much as possible in the 5 hrs we had available! Challenge succeeded!). Their commitment to hospitality went as far as pushing back their own vacation by a day to let us experience Rome through their eyes and knowledge. You would simply look at cold stones in the Forum Romanum when you are visiting just by yourself and a guidebook or in one of the huge groups that we passed. Martina brought the life of the Romans to us in her historical storytelling, with wit, fun, facts, and yes, cats! All family members agree that this was above 5 stars - and that includes a range of family members with their first visit outside the US, to our son who is extremely well versed in history. Each one of us gained new memories, nuggets of knowledge and insight, and lots of smiles with Martina’s stories!! Oh, and not to forget: the variety of places and stories that Martina shared with us was just breathtaking and a testament to the depth of her expertise! We started with fountains in Piazza Navona, followed by Caravaggios, trompe l’oeils of amazing proportions, unique details about the Pantheon, Caesar’s murder and burial, cats !!, and touristy “musts” like the Fontana di Trevi and the Spanish Steps - and each with Martina’s twist of memorable history!! Wonderful!

Vincenzo was an incredible tour guide for the Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and some nearby cathedrals. Very smart and funny and engaging. Well worth it. My kids, ages 14 and 16, loved it as much as the parents.
