Piazza della Repubblica

Piazza della Repubblica is one of the main squares in Florence and marks the center of the city since Roman times. In the Middle Age this area was populated with markets, tabernacles and churches. At that time, it was the center of the city. It was the location of the market and the Jewish Ghetto, who were obligated to live here by Cosimo I. In the square we can also find Caffé Gilli, Caffé Paskowski and Caffé delle Giubbe Rosse which were meeting points for many of the city's artists and writers in the past.

Basilica of Santa Maria Novella

Santa Maria Novella is one of the most important Gothic churches in Florence. It is loated nearby the main railway station. Chronologically, it is the first great basilica in Florence, and is the city's principal Dominican church.

Palazzo Pitti

Palazzo Pitti became the new symbol of the Medici’s power over Tuscany because Cosimo I de’ Medici and his wife Eleanor of Toledo had choosen the Palace as the new Grand Ducal residence. This Palace also housed the Habsburg-Lorraine and the Kings of Italy from the House of Savoy. The name of the Palaceis the one of its first owner, the Florentine banker Luca Pitti, who started the construction in the XVI century.

Piazza della Signoria

Piazza della Signoria, an L-shaped square, is located halfway between the Duomo and the River Arno. Together with the Palazzo della Signoria( Palazzo Vecchio) it has been the center of political life in Florence since the 14th century. In the square we can see many sculptures, among them The David (the original is in the Galleria dell'Accademia) by Michelangelo, Bandinelli's Hercules and Cacus, The Nettuno (1575) by Ammannati etc.

<p>There are not enough words to describe how amazing was our tour to Florence and our tour guide Qiara. Everything from the beginning was just perfect. Florence offers a huge concentration of art and churches, as well as charming streets, small restaurants and stores to explore. We were so fortunate that Qiara was with us, so that this tour became a truly unforgettable experience.. It was just sad that we couldn't stay there for one more day. Time flew by very fast.. <br/> If you wish to have an amazing day or celebrate your birthday, book this tour, you'll not regret it.</p>
