First, they lost our reservation. They acknowledged it was their mistake and tried to make up for it by giving us a full refund (I have not received it yet, but hopefully soon?) and new tickets so we'd be able to visit, although without a guide. But it turns out the tickets they gave us were NOT for the Duomo... the new tickets included everything else, except the one thing we actually bought the entire thing for... So we had to go elsewhere and buy another set of tickets and tour. The lady at the office tried to help, but clearly it wasn't enough. By the time we were told (at the entrance of the cathedral) we had the wrong tickets, the Caf Tour office had closed. Terrible service.

Guide was excellent. Assured everyone that there was no rush to get to the top of the duomo and very informative

3 of my family did the full tour including the climb up to the dome itself. I don’t think I missed very much except the panoramic view.

Beautiful Florence !!! The City of the Art !! But next time we go we will go on our own pace and get the headphones to learn about this beautiful Cathedral. The visit to the Dome never happened, I don't know if it was close or if it was to late.

This was very convenient and enjoyable with no lines and a limited group size. We had a great tour guide that made the experience even better. The view from the terrace is gorgeous as well being at the base of the dome. Didn’t quite have the stamina to climb to the coupala. Would do it again!

My family and I had a great experience with this tour. Our tour guide skipped the line and took us into the Duomo through the exit door. She gave us many fascinating historical tidbits about the basilica and the construction of the Duomo. We climbed all the way to the top (not as arduous as I thought it would be) where we enjoyed a splendid panorama of Florence. Then we had a lunch with wine, and ended the tour with a brief wine and cheese tasting, Italian style? (Choice of only one bottle per person). I highly recommend taking the tour!

We selected the option of the wine tasting but not the lunch (food option). My girlfriend and I enjoyed this tour very much. It starts out with a 30 minute video which was very informative about the history of the Duomo and truly showed you how amazing the building process was; it was a great overview/introduction to the tour. After the video we began with a tour of the outside of the cathedral and our guide gave us some great insight into the baptistry (which we walked past several times without any knowledge about the intricacies of the doors) and the outside of the cathedral. We then walked to the exit of the cathedral where we entered without any line or wait which was amazing. Following this we got to go inside the cathedral and pass the ropes that everyone else (outside of our tour) was unable to pass. Then we made the 100+ step climb to the Bishop room if I remember correctly (this was also exclusive to our tour) and we then went out onto the balcony which had an amazing view and we got great insight into it as our guide recommended things to do in the city. After this our guide left us and we had the choice to climb the next 200-300 steps to get to the top of the Duomo which had a breathtaking view (and great pictures). The wine tasting was just a glass of good wine and some cheese. I would recommend this tour, however since we used our online ticket we were unable to visit the other attractions that were freely available for 72 hours after our tour and with no Italian phone were unable to get this resolved.

You are basically paying to skip the line and go on the terrace - the film, tour and wine tasting aren’t great and feel like they are added on to try and make it sound more of an experience. The terrace did have great views so would recommend that. The tour guide information was ok although the headsets didn’t work very well, so we missed a lot of what was said. The wine/cheese tasting is at a small shop down the road, which you just get given a voucher for and have to go yourself. The wine was good but you get one small sample and a bit of cheese. Overall good for terrace views but not much else.

This tour was probably one of the worst we have ever done in Italy. We have been about 7 times. We didn’t get as much as we expected out of the tour just a quick visit through chapel and to the dome. We watched a 30 min video before which was the most information we got. We hurried and then waited hurried and then waited. It was just really basic not much to it. We walked into the church and to the dome and then we had to wait in lines by ourselves for everything else. We got the lunch and wine tasting and the lunch was very mediocre I would not recommend spending the extra money. We had to go to the restaurant and then wait for random other people to show up and then as a group got served. It was just ‘okay’ and I don’t think it was worth the money we spent.

This is a perfect tour if you don't want to spend all day with a guide. Our guide was very good and full of knowledge about the Duomo and the church. You start with a 30 minute video that I thought was going to a waste of time. Boy was I wrong. full of history and information. You get go behind the chains and see parts of the church that others don't get to. The climb was relatively (450 steps). If re really out of shape, it may not be a good idea. It can be a little tight spaced at times also. The view is to die for. With the ticket you can go to the museum, the tower, the baptistry, back into the church for the next 72hrs.
