Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start your journey in the city of Travnik. From the center of Travnik, head southeast on the M5 road towards Donji Vakuf. Continue on M5 for about 30 km until you reach the town of Donji Vakuf. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the M16 road towards Jajce. After approximately 15 km, turn right onto the local road towards Daničići. Follow the signs to Pješčane piramide, which is located about 5 km from this turnoff. Make sure to have a GPS or a map handy, as some local roads may not be well marked. There is no entry fee for the attraction itself, but parking is available nearby.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Travnik to Donji Vakuf. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Donji Vakuf, you will need to take another bus heading towards Jajce. You can ask the bus driver to drop you off at the intersection where you can catch a taxi or a local minibus towards Daničići. The local bus service may not be very frequent, so be sure to check the schedules in advance. The taxi ride to Pješčane piramide from the drop-off point should cost around 15-20 BAM.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Travnik to Pješčane piramide. This option is more expensive, typically ranging from 50 to 70 BAM depending on your negotiation skills and the taxi service used. The taxi will take you directly to the site, which is approximately 40 km away. Ensure you agree on a fare before starting your journey.
