Getting There

  • Walking

    Starting from the center of Willemstad, head towards the Queen Emma Bridge. Cross the bridge to reach the Punda district. Once across, follow the main road (Avenida D. R. B. J. B. M. F. de Freitas) along the waterfront, heading east. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with the Caracasbaaiweg (also known as Weg Naar Ronde Klip). Turn left onto Caracasbaaiweg and continue walking. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will reach a small beach area known as Tugboat Beach. The shipwreck is located just offshore, so you can enter the water from the beach to start snorkeling.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the main bus terminal in Willemstad, take bus number 6 towards Caracasbaai. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Caracasbaaiweg. Once you get off, walk towards the small beach area, Tugboat Beach. The shipwreck is visible from the beach, and you can snorkel from there.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Willemstad. Start your ride from the center of Willemstad and head towards the Queen Emma Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue east on Avenida D. R. B. J. B. M. F. de Freitas until you reach Caracasbaaiweg. Turn left and cycle for about 2 kilometers until you arrive at Tugboat Beach.
