Getting There

• Public Bus

  From your hotel or accommodation in Punta Cana, head to the nearest bus stop where local public buses operate. Look for a bus labeled 'Bavaro'. Purchase a ticket from the bus conductor (usually around 1-2 USD). Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the Cabeza de Toro area. This journey usually takes about 25-30 minutes. Once you disembark, look for signs directing you towards the Punta de los Nidos snorkeling area.

• Taxi

  If you prefer more convenience, you can take a taxi. You can hail a taxi from your hotel or find one at a nearby taxi stand. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it should cost around 15-25 USD to reach Punto de los Nidos from most central locations in Punta Cana. Provide the driver with the address: MJ7V+5C8 Cabeza De Toro, Punta Cana 23000. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes.

• Shared Shuttle Service

  Many hotels offer shared shuttle services to various attractions. Check with your hotel’s front desk if they provide transportation to the Punta de los Nidos snorkeling area. If available, you can book a spot on the shuttle for a modest fee, and they will drop you off directly at the snorkeling area. This option is especially convenient if you are traveling in a group.

• Walking (if nearby)

  If you are staying close to Cabeza de Toro, consider walking to the snorkeling area. Head towards the coast from your accommodation, following the signs to the beach. Once you reach the beach, walk along the shoreline until you reach Punta de los Nidos. Be sure to wear comfortable footwear and bring water, as it can take about 30 minutes to walk from nearby hotels.
