If you are starting from the Colonial Zone (Zona Colonial), walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Calle José María Serrín. Look for a bus labeled "Carretera de Mella" or "Los Mameyes". The fare is generally around 30 pesos. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the stop at Av. España. From there, it's a short walk to the aquarium located at Av. España 75, Santo Domingo Este.

Begin your journey by walking to the nearest Metro station, which could be 'Centro de los Héroes' station. Take Line 1 (the green line) towards 'Avenida Los Tres Ojos'. Transfer at 'Joaquín Balaguer' station to Line 2 (the blue line) towards 'Los Alcarrizos'. Get off at 'El Cacique' station. From there, take a taxi or a local motoconcho (motorcycle taxi) for a short ride to Av. España 75.

Simply tell the driver that you want to go to the Dominican Republic National Aquarium located on Av. España 75 in Santo Domingo Este. For those feeling adventurous and if you are staying nearby, you can walk to the aquarium. From the Colonial Zone, head east along Av. George Washington (the waterfront avenue). Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Av. España. Turn left onto Av. España and walk until you reach the aquarium at Av. España 75. The walk is approximately 3 kilometers and should take around 30-40 minutes.
