Getting There

• Bus

  From La Libertad, head to the main bus terminal located near the central park. Look for buses heading towards San Salvador. You can take any bus that shows 'San Salvador' on the front. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach the Terminal de Occidente in San Salvador, disembark and look for buses heading to Comasagua. These buses can be found at the same terminal or at a nearby bus stop. Make sure to ask around for the specific buses that go to Comasagua, as there are multiple routes. The journey to Comasagua from San Salvador will take around 45 minutes to an hour.

• Walking

  Once you arrive in Comasagua, get off the bus at the main square (Plaza de Comasagua). From the square, take the road heading up the hill towards Mirador de Comasagua. It's a steep walk, so be prepared with water and good shoes. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the mirador, as it is a popular spot. The walk will take about 30-45 minutes depending on your pace, and you will enjoy the scenic views along the way.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in La Libertad and take the same bus to Comasagua. Once you arrive at the Plaza de Comasagua, you can cycle towards the mirador. The route is steep, so ensure you have a good bicycle and are prepared for a challenging ride. The total distance is approximately 10 kilometers from the bus drop-off, and it will take about 30-60 minutes depending on your cycling speed and fitness level.
