Walking
If you're starting from Helsinki Central Station, exit the station and head east towards the Esplanadi park. Walk along the park until you reach the intersection with Mikonkatu. Turn right onto Mikonkatu and continue until you reach the next intersection. Turn left onto Kaivokatu, which will lead you to the bus and tram stops. You can take tram number 4 or 3 from the tram stop at the intersection of Kaivokatu and Mannerheimintie. Ride the tram towards Katajanokka. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the 'Katajanokka' stop. From there, walk along the waterfront on Merikasarminkatu, and you will find Katajanokka Prison at Merikasarminkatu 1.
