Public Transport - Bus
From the city center of Caen, start at the Caen train station (Gare de Caen). Take bus line 70 towards 'Colleville-sur-Mer'. The bus departs from the bus stop located just outside the station. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop 'Colleville-sur-Mer'. Once you get off the bus, walk along the Route d'Omaha Beach for about 15 minutes. The Big Red One Museum will be on your right at 1397 Rte d'Omaha Beach.

If you are near the Caen Castle (Château de Caen), you can walk to the museum, but be prepared for a longer journey. Head southeast on Rue Saint-Pierre until you reach Place Saint-Sauveur. From there, continue south on Rue de la Gare and take a right on Rue des Moulins. Follow the street until you reach the bridge over the Orne River. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Route d'Omaha Beach. It is about a 10 km walk, which will take approximately 2 hours. The museum will be on your right.
