Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Frauenkirche, head east on Neumarkt towards the Elbe River. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Wilsdruffer Str. Turn left here and walk along Wilsdruffer Str. for approximately 300 meters. You will come to a roundabout; take the first exit onto Landhausstr. After about 200 meters, you will find the Julius Otto Monument on your left at the intersection with Königstr.

  • Public Transport

    From Dresden Main Station (Dresden Hauptbahnhof), take tram line 3 or 8 towards the direction of 'Coschütz' or 'Weixdorf' respectively. Alight at the 'Königstraße' stop after 4 stops. From there, walk straight along Königstr. for about 300 meters until you see the Julius Otto Monument on your right.

    Starting from the Albertinum, walk north along the Brühlsche Terrasse towards the Elbe River. Continue straight for about 400 meters until you reach the intersection with Wilsdruffer Str. Turn right onto Wilsdruffer Str. and walk for about 250 meters. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Landhausstr. The Julius Otto Monument will be on your left after another 200 meters.
