If you are staying in Ubud, renting a bicycle is a great way to reach Batu Karu Temple. Start at the Ubud Monkey Forest, head south on Jalan Monkey Forest. Continue until you reach the intersection with Jalan Raya Ubud. Turn right onto Jalan Raya Ubud and follow the road as it curves. After about 5 km, turn left onto Jalan Gunung Sari, which will lead you towards the temple. The last stretch will be a scenic ride through rice paddies. Look for signs directing you to Batu Karu Temple.
