Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the Old City of Jerusalem, you can reach the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer by walking through the Christian Quarter. Start at the Jaffa Gate, which is one of the main entrances to the Old City. From Jaffa Gate, walk straight along the street until you reach the intersection with the Christian Quarter Road. Turn left onto Christian Quarter Road and continue walking. Follow the road until you see the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on your right side. As you pass the Church, keep walking straight until you reach Muristan Road. The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer is located directly on Muristan Road, just a few minutes from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

• Public Transport - Tram

  If you are starting from the Mahane Yehuda Market area, walk to the nearest light rail stop, which is the 'Mahane Yehuda' station. Board the light rail heading towards 'Hebrew University' and get off at the 'City Hall' station. From there, head east towards Jaffa Road, then turn left and walk along Jaffa Road until you reach the intersection with David Street. Turn right onto David Street and walk straight until you reach the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. From there, follow the walking directions as mentioned previously to reach Muristan Road.

• Walking from Western Wall

  If you are at the Western Wall, exit the plaza and turn left towards the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Walk through the narrow streets, following the signs to the Old City market. Once you reach the marketplace, continue walking until you see the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. From the Church, follow the directions previously provided to reach the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer on Muristan Road.
