Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the Old City of Jerusalem, you can reach the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer by walking through the Christian Quarter. Start at the Jaffa Gate, which is one of the main entrances to the Old City. From Jaffa Gate, walk straight along the street until you reach the intersection with the Christian Quarter Road. Turn left onto Christian Quarter Road and continue walking. Follow the road until you see the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on your right side. As you pass the Church, keep walking straight until you reach Muristan Road. The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer is located directly on Muristan Road, just a few minutes from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

    If you are starting from the Mahane Yehuda Market area, walk to the nearest light rail stop, which is the 'Mahane Yehuda' station. Board the light rail heading towards 'Hebrew University' and get off at the 'City Hall' station.
