Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Kumano Kodo, take Route 168 towards Yoshino. Follow the signs for Yoshino and continue on Route 168 until you reach the junction with Route 311. Take Route 311 towards Yoshino. After approximately 15 kilometers, you will see signs for Sakuragi Shrine. Turn right onto Kisadani Road and continue for about 1 kilometer until you arrive at Sakuragi Shrine located at 423 Kisadani, Yoshino. Parking is available near the shrine.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Sakuragi Shrine via public transport, start by taking a bus from Kumano Kodo to Yoshino Station. The bus ride takes approximately 1 hour and costs around 1,000 yen. Once you arrive at Yoshino Station, transfer to the Nara Kotsu bus bound for 'Kisadani'. This bus will take you directly to a stop near Sakuragi Shrine. The bus ride from Yoshino Station to Kisadani takes about 30 minutes and costs about 500 yen. After getting off at the Kisadani stop, it's a short 10-minute walk to the shrine.
