Getting There

Public Bus
From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus #206 or #100 towards 'Higashiyama' or 'Kiyomizu-dera'. Get off at the 'Gokencho' bus stop, which is about a 20-minute ride. After you disembark, walk east along the main road (Sanjodori) for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Shichijo-dori. Turn left onto Shichijo-dori, and Kongō-ji Temple will be on your right after a short walk of approximately 3 minutes.

Subway and Walking
Start at Kyoto Station and take the Karasuma Line subway towards 'Kokusai Kaikan'. Get off at 'Karasuma Oike' station and transfer to the Tozai Line towards 'Uzumasa Tenjingawa'. Get off at 'Keage' station. Exit the station and walk east on the road leading to the Philosopher's Path. After about 10 minutes, turn left onto Gokencho Street. Kongō-ji Temple will be on your left after walking for about 5 minutes.
