    If you are traveling by car from Chiradzulu Highlands, start by heading north on the M1 road. Continue on this road for approximately 100 kilometers until you reach the town of Kasungu. The entrance to Kasungu National Park is located just off the M1, clearly marked with signs. Expect to pay an entrance fee of around 10,000 MWK for adults, and make sure to have some cash on hand for this. The drive should take about 2.5 to 3 hours depending on traffic.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Kasungu National Park using public transportation, catch a minibus from Chiradzulu to Lilongwe at the local bus station. The fare is typically around 1,500 MWK. Once you arrive in Lilongwe, you will need to transfer to another minibus heading to Kasungu. The fare for this leg is about 2,000 MWK. After arriving in Kasungu, you can hire a taxi to take you to the park entrance, which is approximately 20 kilometers away. Taxi fares can vary, but expect to pay around 5,000 MWK.
