From Tequila, Mexico, head south on the main road (Carretera Tequila-Tlaquepaque) towards Teuchitlán. After approximately 15 kilometers, follow the signs to Teuchitlán and merge onto the road leading into the town. Once in Teuchitlán, look for signs directing you to Guachimontones. The site is located about 5 kilometers from the town center. There is free parking available near the entrance of the archaeological site.

To reach Guachimontones via public transportation, go to the bus terminal in Tequila and take a bus heading to Teuchitlán. The fare is usually around 20 pesos (about $1 USD). The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.
