Getting There

Walking
Start at the main square in Piran, Tartini Square. From the square, head towards the waterfront. Walk down the steps towards the sea, and continue along the promenade. Follow the coastline until you reach the end of the town. Once you reach the edge of Piran, look for the path that leads towards the small harbor on your right. Continue along this path, and you will eventually find yourself on a scenic route leading to Lungomare Barcola. Note that this walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, and you will be treated to beautiful views of the Adriatic Sea.

Public Transport
From Piran, make your way to the bus station located near the center of town. Take a local bus heading towards Portorož, which is a neighboring town. After a short ride, disembark at the Portorož bus station. From there, you will need to transfer to another bus that goes towards Trieste, Italy. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance. Once you arrive in Trieste, follow the signs to Lungomare Barcola, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop. Head towards the waterfront, and you’ll see the Lungomare Barcola promenade along the coast.
