If you are driving, exit the Škocjan Caves parking area and head southeast on the local road towards the town of Škocjan. After approximately 1 km, turn right onto the main road (H4) heading towards Trieste. Continue on H4 for about 22 km until you reach Trieste. Once in Trieste, follow signs for the city center, and look for Piazza Sant'Antonio Nuovo, where Canal Grande is located.
