Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from the Pilanesberg National Park entrance, head southeast on the R565 road. Continue straight for approximately 18 kilometers until you reach the junction with the R510. Turn right onto the R510 and follow the signs for 'Black Rhino Reserve'. After about 10 kilometers, you will see the entrance to the Black Rhino Reserve on your left. There is a gate where you may need to pay a conservation fee (approximately ZAR 100 per vehicle). Once inside the reserve, follow the signs to Morokolo Safari Lodge, which is about 5 kilometers from the gate.

  • Public Transport

    While public transport options are limited directly within Pilanesberg National Park, you can arrange a shuttle service from nearby towns such as Sun City or Rustenburg. From Sun City, you can take a taxi or shuttle to the Black Rhino Reserve entrance. Make sure to pre-arrange your shuttle to ensure that the driver knows to take you to Morokolo Safari Lodge. It is advisable to confirm the cost with the shuttle service beforehand, which may vary but typically ranges from ZAR 350 to ZAR 600 per trip.
