If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto the Donghae Expressway (Expressway 65) from your location in Gangwon Province. Follow the signs for Sokcho and merge onto the expressway. Continue on the Donghae Expressway for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your starting point. Take the exit toward Sokcho (Exit 5) and continue straight onto the local road until you reach the city. Once in Sokcho, follow the signs for the beach area. Sokcho Beach is located at 186 Haeoreum-ro, Joyang-dong. Parking is available nearby but may incur a fee, typically around 2,000 KRW for a few hours.
