Getting There

  • Subway

    Start your journey by taking the Seoul Metropolitan Subway. If you're at Seoul Station, take Line 1 (the Blue Line) towards Dongmyo Station. After 3 stops, get off at Jongno 3-ga Station and transfer to Line 5 (the Purple Line). Board the train towards Sangil-dong and get off at the next stop, Gwanghwamun Station. From Gwanghwamun Station, exit through Gate 4.

    Once you exit Gwanghwamun Station through Gate 4, walk straight ahead and you will see the main street. Turn left onto the street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with the large statue of King Sejong. Cross the street towards the statue and continue straight. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach a small alleyway on your left that leads into Bukchon Hanok Village.

    Enter the alley and continue walking uphill. You will pass by traditional Korean houses (hanoks) on either side. Stay on the main path and look for signs directing you towards Bukchon Yukgyeong (Photo Spot). After about 15 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the photo spot located at 31-48 Gahoe-dong, Jongno District. It will be a picturesque area popular for its beautiful views of the hanoks and the surrounding scenery.
