Getting There

  • Subway

    If you are starting from Seoul Station, take Line 4 (the light blue line) towards Danggogae. Alight at the Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station after 5 stops. From the station, take Exit 1, which will lead you to the Dongdaemun Gate (Heunginjimun). Walk towards the gate, and you will see the entrance to the Seoul City Wall Trail nearby.

  • Bus

    If you are near Myeongdong, head to the Myeongdong Station and find the bus stop for bus number 401. Board the bus and alight at the Heunginjimun (Dongdaemun) stop. Once you get off, walk towards the East Gate, Heunginjimun, and you will find the entrance to the Seoul City Wall Trail accessible from there.

  • Walking

    If you are in the vicinity of Insadong, walk towards Jogyesa Temple. From there, head east until you reach the main road, then turn left and walk straight until you reach Dongdaemun Gate (Heunginjimun). The entrance to the Seoul City Wall Trail is located just adjacent to the gate.

  • Taxi

    For a more comfortable option, you can hail a taxi and ask the driver to take you to Dongdaemun Gate (Heunginjimun).
