Getting There

  • Car

    From Cabo de Gata, take the AL-5107 road heading northeast towards San José. Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers until you reach the junction with the A-7 motorway. Merge onto the A-7 towards Almería. After approximately 20 kilometers, take exit 459 towards Almería. Keep following the signs for Tabernas Desert. You will exit onto the A-92, then take exit 2 towards Tabernas. Continue on the AL-5400 road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the Tabernas Desert. There are no tolls on this route.

    To reach Tabernas Desert using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Cabo de Gata to Almería. The bus service runs regularly, and you can check schedules at the local bus station.
