Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head towards the city of Granada. From the center of Granada, take Calle Gran Vía de Colón until you reach the roundabout at Plaza de Isabel la Católica. From there, take the exit onto Calle Reyes Católicos and continue straight until you reach the junction with Calle de San Jerónimo. Turn left onto Calle de San Jerónimo, and then take another left onto Camino del Sacromonte. Follow this road for approximately 2 km; you will see signs directing you to Abadía del Sacromonte. There is limited parking available near the abbey, so plan to arrive early.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Abadía del Sacromonte using public transport, start from the main bus station in Granada (Estación de Autobuses de Granada). Take a local bus (line 31) towards Sacromonte. The bus will take you to the stop named 'Sacromonte.' From there, it's a short walk to the abbey. Follow the signs for Abadía del Sacromonte, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may vary throughout the day.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Granada to Abadía del Sacromonte. Simply tell the driver you're heading to 'Camino del Sacromonte.' The ride should take around 10-15 minutes from the city center, depending on traffic. Taxi fares can range from €10 to €15, so it's advisable to confirm the fare before starting your journey.

• Walking

  For those staying in the Albaicín area, you can reach Abadía del Sacromonte on foot. Start from Plaza de San Nicolás, a popular viewpoint in the Albaicín. Walk down Calle San Nicolás and continue onto Camino de Sacromonte. The walk is approximately 30 minutes and offers beautiful views of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada mountains. The path is mostly uphill, so wear comfortable shoes.
