If you are driving from Kandy, take the A9 road heading north towards Jaffna. After approximately 36 km, turn left onto the A26 road at the junction near Maho. Continue on the A26 for about 15 km until you reach the R896 road. Turn left onto R896 and follow the signs to Yapahuwa Rock Fortress, which will be on your right after about 5 km. There is a parking area available at the site.
